The annual Tenbury Applefest is nearly upon us! Hosted on the first weekend of every October, cider celebrators will have their glasses raised once again as the local event returns for a fantastic comeback
This is going to be one of the first local events of this size taking place this year, due to the global pandemic.
You would be ‘hard pressed’ to not discover some truly tantalizing tastes, with over 300 varieties of apples placed in a marquee and many other delicious foods, drinks, and entertainments.
Applefest admittedly have an abundance of apples, but did you know there is also animals, classic cars, arts & crafts and stalls for food and drink. There is, without a doubt, something special about this day for anybody!
You can have an up-close and personal experience with some animals that Trevor Hill is bringing along, as well as Ferret racing! There is also going to be a medieval magician, face painting, Corn Dolly making demonstrations, willow weaving and the work of Gillian Talbot who creates immense illustrations of apples and many other items.
The adults can enjoy a licensed bar, and dare we mention, perhaps even begin some Christmas shopping whilst browsing the wonderful stands.
David Patrick, Chair of Tenbury Applefest Association, says “Yet again we are offering a wide variety of activities, entertainment and displays for you to enjoy. We are confident that Applefest 2021 will provide a great day out for all of the family whatever the weather.”
Admission to the fun-filled day is still just £4.00 with accompanied children under 16, free.
Gates open at 10.00 a.m. on Saturday 2nd October
