Gloucestershire residents say they have “been put through hell” over the last six months by now jailed man cave millionaire Graham Wildin.
Since February this year, his neighbours say finding a place to park outside their homes has been a nightmare.
Mr Wildin decided to park a collection of classic cars outside his home in Meendhurst Road, Cinderford. And residents say he told them he had to do it because of the council’s order to soft strip the leisure complex he built without planning permission.
Some neighbours have woken up only to find they are unable to go to work because one of his cars was parked blocking their driveway.
Elderly residents have also been forced to wheel their bins up to the one end of the street because bin lorries could not get past the vintage cars.
Neighbours said Wildin would wait until someone drove off just to move one the cars into the space outside their homes.
Emergency services have also struggled to make their way down the road because of all the cars.
One neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said they were pleased that justice is now “starting to be done” after Wildin was jailed today (August 12) for six weeks for failing to comply with a court order in June 2021.
“We have seen today the start of justice being done. However, there are significantly more unanswered questions than answered ones.
“The problems the neighbours are experiencing are not going to end. It might be the beginning of the end but it is nowhere near the end. There are many more things that are going to have to happen.
“It’s been distressing. It’s affected the neighbours emotionally, in some cases physically and it has certainly affected the value of our properties.
“The dispute regarding the cars is ongoing and I’m almost loathed to consider how he will punish the neighbours for the court’s decision. He will be blaming whatever he does to us, he will say it’s the judge’s fault just like the last time he said it was the council’s fault.”
Graham Wildin has been approached for comment.
