Local Remembrance/ Armistice Day Events 2021

Below is a list of events that will be held locally over the next few days to commemorate remembrance/armistice day

Hereford - Remembrance Day Parade - Sunday 14th November

The event will start at 10.30am from the east end of St Owen Street and parade to St Peters Square, the service will then begin at 11am.
At the end of the service, when the national anthem has been sung, the deputy lieutenants' cadet will accompany the deputy lieutenant, to the Town Hall followed by the undersheriff and representative for the chairman of Herefordshire Council.
The parade will then march up St Owen Street past the Town Hall and will dismiss at the junction of St Owen Street and Cantilupe Street.

Ludlow - Armistice Day - Thursday 11th November

To commemorate Armistice Day a short service will take place at the Peace Memorial between 10.45am - 11.30am (approx. timings).
There will be no access for vehicles to Castle Street car park during this time.
 
 Ludlow - Remembrance Day - Sunday 14th November 
 
The public will assemble at 10:30am at Ludlow Market.
 
A service will be held at the Peace Memorial at 10:58am.
 
A church service will held at St. Laurence's Church at 11:30am.
 
Between 10.30am-11.45 am High Street, King Street and Castle Square will be closed to vehicles, there will be no access to Castle Street car park.
 

Leominster - Remembrance Service and Parade - Sunday 14th November

Members of the public are invited to watch as the Parade marches off at 10.20 am from Broad Street, Leominster and gather at the War Memorial at The Grange for a Service of Remembrance. The National 2 minute silence will be observed at 11.00 am followed by a wreath laying ceremony.
Any veterans (anyone who has served for at least one day in Her Majesty's Armed Forces (Regular or Reserve) or Merchant Mariners who have seen duty on legally defined military operations) who live in or around Leominster are warmly invited to join the parade.

Ledbury - Armistice Day - Thursday 11th November

There will be a short service at the town’s War Memorial on the High Street following the national two-minute silence at 11am.

Ledbury - Remembrance Day Parade - Sunday 14th November

A Remembrance Parade and Service will be held in the High Street from 10.30am followed by a service at St Michael & All Angels church.  

Pembridge - Remembrance Day - Sunday 14th November

A ceremony will take place between 10:45am and 11:15am. West Street will be closed to traffic during this time.

Ross-on-Wye - Armistice Day - Thursday 11th November

A maroon will be let off at 11am at the Prospect to mark the start of the two-minute silence. The maroon will sound again at 11.02am to mark the finish of the silence
