An outstanding colourful garden with wonderful seasonal variations from spring to autumn. This 5-acre garden facing S and W is totally irrigated into 5 zones.
Impeccably manicured lawns embrace extensive herbaceous borders, rose gardens and walks, and include a white garden, Mediterranean garden, Italian garden and a Japanese garden. Water plays a large feature throughout the whole garden with both natural streams and man-made waterfalls. Bog gardens are incorporated in the water features.
The extensive cultivated gardens lead into a woodland area with Azaleas and Rhododendrons predominant which, in turn, show the visitor into the lime tree avenue and ultimately to the lake landscaped with wild flowers and bulbs.
A large glasshouse and conservatories house exotic species including orchids, bougainvilleas and other tropical plants.
Prizewinning herd of pedigree Hereford cattle and Suffolk sheep graze in the fields surrounding the gardens.
