It’s probably a little-known fact that numerous local charities and worthy causes have benefited from the funds to the tune of over £120,00 raised by the organisers of Linton Festival during it’s 19 year history.
“This year our nominated local charities benefited from a whopping £16,000 in sponsorship and donations raised by the festival.” Said festival chairman David Lambert at the official cheque presentation last week.
“Of course, we couldn’t do it without the generous support of our local business sponsors who help to cover part of our overheads and advertise in our festival programme.”
“Now in its 19th year, Herefordshire’s best loved 3-day music event took place back in July and plans are already in place for the celebration of Linton Festival’s 20th anniversary on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2020 with an amazing line-up of acts to suit all tastes and ages.”
Linton Festival is a not for profit community event, run by volunteers and is held in the grounds of The Alma Inn, Linton near Ross-on-Wye, which won CAMRA’s Herefordshire pub of the year in 2018. It attracts thousands of visitors to the area from all over the country……and even parts of Europe.
