Sunshine Pride Awards 2022

We are proud to unveil the Sunshine Pride Awards categories for 2022. After a 2 year break of the live awards night! We are back to recognise all those local heroes. To recognise those good deeds done by down to earth stars who walk our streets.

This Years Categories are:

  Business of the Year 2022 sponsored by Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors

  This award will go to the business that shows outstanding initiative and imagination as well as sound management practices. Businesses will be expected to demonstrate, sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success. The business may have gone the extra mile for its employees or adjusted its business practices to help others during the global pandemic.

  Carer Of The Year 2022 sponsored by Quality Care at Home

  An adult or young person who cares for or looks after others, whether family at home, or in the community. They may check on someone, do their shopping for them, clean around the house or garden, or just keep them company.

  Foster Carer Of The Year 2022 sponsored by I Can Foster

  This award will be given to a foster carer who can demonstrate commitment and perseverance even in the most challenging of circumstances to make a difference to the child in their care.

  Fundraiser Of The Year sponsored by Appliance Solutions

  This award recognises a person of any age who has gone beyond all expectations to raise money for a good cause however large or small. This could be someone who comes up with creative ideas to raise cash or maybe it’s their passion and dedication that really inspires others to give.

  Outstanding Teacher Of The Year sponsored by Outstanding Education Solutions

  This award recognises a person who is bringing learning to life by engaging and inspiring young people to fulfil their potential; someone who has made a real difference to their pupil or student’s lives.

  Senior Citizen Of The Year sponsored by Hereford Gold

  This will be an individual over 60 whose selfless efforts have left a lasting impression on the lives of others and who has made a significant contribution to improving life in their community, an inspirational role model.

  Sporting Achievement Of The Year sponsored by Wye Valley Visitor Centre

  A person of any age who has displayed outstanding sporting performance or someone who has shown commitment, dedication, and enthusiasm in their chosen sport.

  Volunteer Of The Year sponsored by Scaffolding 2000

  This award is for a group or individual involved in a wide range of voluntary action and who have made the community they live in a better place: an inspirational individual or group who has made a real difference to the lives of others in all sorts of remarkable ways.
