Birmingham man handed prison term for burglary

A man from Birmingham has been sentenced to 32 months in prison after he was convicted of burglary offences.

Kian Davies who is 22 years-old and of no fixed abode, was convicted and sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on Friday 10 March on three counts of -

  • Burglary dwelling and theft
  • Going Equipped for Burglary
  • Taking a vehicle without owner’s consent

Davies was arrested in the early hours of Monday 23 January on suspicion of burglarising a home earlier that day and was charged the same day.

Detective Constable Lothian from Kidderminster CID sad: “The reduction of burglary, theft and robbery are priorities for West Mercia Police.

“I hope this conviction and sentencing serves to reassure both the local communities in North Worcestershire and the wide community of West Mercia that we will always look to catch and convict those involved in such criminality.”
