Plans have been put forward for nine larger new homes in a Herefordshire village.
An application for planning permission (number 242070) by Peter Foster of Brockington Developments proposes the nine would be behind a tree belt off the main A44 Bromyard to Leominster road in Bredenbury, north of Brockington House.
For open market sale, the nine would comprise four three-bedroom houses, two of them semi-detached, and five of four bedrooms.
Two of the houses would be finished in render, the other seven in red brick. Garages would be timber-framed and clad.
The development would also include 12 parking spaces for the parish room across the A44.
Currently farmland, the site is earmarked for housing in Bredenbury’s development plan, the application points out.
This was approved by villagers in 2021, and proposes “around ten homes of a range of sizes to meet a variety of needs” on the site.
These “should retain and enhance the existing belt of trees around the site, with new dwellings a harmonious mix of architectural styles and materials which respect the character and appearance of the settlement” as well as providing a community car park, the plan said.
The current proposal appears to have been some time in gestation, with a submitted elevation plan of the proposed houses dating from 2020.
Comments on it can be made until October 31.
