The Beefy Boys are back with another festive parody that is guaranteed to bring laughter and festive cheer to burger lovers across the world.
The new ad follows the success of 2023’s heartfelt yet hilarious creation, featuring an elderly couple and a case of mistaken generosity, which was watched by over 2.5 million people.
The 2024 campaign takes things to the next level and tells the familiar story of a dad who is deflated upon unwrapping a pair of socks on Christmas morning. Sensing their father’s disappointment, his three resourceful kids spring into action. What follows is a heartwarming and hilariously over-the-top caper involving a daring late-night mission, a repurposed Beefy Boys food truck, and a heart-stopping moment as the family comes together over sizzling burgers, shortly before the kids abruptly face the consequences of their ridiculous actions.
The ad, which features cinematic visuals and a playful nod to iconic Christmas campaigns like the Coca-Cola truck and John Lewis’ emotional storylines, was written, directed, and edited by The Beefy Boys themselves, and was shot in their hometown of Hereford by local film company Shooting Reels on a budget of under £1000. It also features the music of local singer Jake of Diamonds, who gives his take on Mariah Carey’s classic, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’.
The video has already been praised on social media by viewers who admire the blend of humour, nostalgia and the magic of good food to deliver an unforgettable festive message: Christmas is better with burgers! Early reactions to the ad have been overwhelmingly positive with one viewer saying, “Move over John Lewis, The Beefy Boys have taken over.” With another viewer commenting, “Smashed it! Best Christmas ad I’ve seen this year.”
With 2023’s ad racking up thousands of views and earning them a reputation as dark horses in the world of Christmas marketing, The Beefy Boys are hoping their 2024 campaign reaches even bigger audiences.
The 2024 Beefy Boys Christmas advert is already gaining traction online, and fans are encouraged to like, share, and comment to help spread the festive fun and cravings far and wide.
