Work to install a new pipeline in a Shropshire village is to start next week.

Severn Trent says it is investing £404,000 in improving its Borehole Pumping Station at The Moors in Diddlebury, near Craven Arms.

A new pipeline will be installed within the adjoining field, running from the treatment works to the local water course, which runs alongside Mill Lane.
Severn Trent says the pipeline will enable it to discharge water from the treatment works into the local brook prior to its treatment and distribution processes. Alongside the brook, a structure will also be built to protect the bank to the watercourse.

Work will start on Monday (January 27) and is set to be completed by mid-April.

“Please be aware that although we try to stick to these dates, they may change due to circumstances beyond our control,” said Catherine Webb, communmity communciations officer at Severn Trent.

“During this work, you will see an increase of large vehicles entering and exiting the site. We’re really sorry about any noise or nuisance we cause during this essential work, the teams will be working as quickly as possible to complete this work.”

Anyone with any queries about the work can contact Ms Webb on 07971 304604 between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The 24-hour operations centre can also be contacted on 0800 783 4444 if anyone experiences any issues with water or sewerage while the work is being done.
