A new website has launched to support children and young people's mental health in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

There is lots of services and information within child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and feedback suggests navigating support can be difficult sometimes, so the new site will be a one stop shop for children, young people, families and professionals across both counties who are seeking advice, support and links to appropriate services.

The site has been designed in collaboration with mental health professionals from CAMHS and young people.

Elaine Cook-Tippins, CAMHS service manager said: "Throughout the design and launch of our new CAMHS website, young people have been at the forefront of our minds."

"The insight and feedback received from young people and service users was invaluable, giving a fresh perspective to the website's development."

The new site provides helpful information such as practical tips to support children and young people's mental health, self-help resources, and information on local CAMHS NHS services.

Matthew Lammas, Locality Services Manager for Wellbeing & Emotional Support Teams in Schools (in CAMHS) said: "We wanted to create a tool that was easy for everyone to use, and we truly hope that children, young people and families like the new website and provide feedback, ensuring that we continue to provide the best care to our local communities."

The new site can be accessed at https://camhs.hacw.nhs.uk/

CAMHS is delivered by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, who provides mental health and learning disability services across both counties. It also runs community hospitals, nursing and therapy and other children's services across Worcestershire.
