Calling all lions, zebras, monkey’s and turtles, Herefordshire’s Family Festival is back this half-term at The Courtyard.
Throughout the October half-term week there will be a multitude of family friendly performances including a day of Animal Kingdom themed performances, workshops and activities for families to get involved in on Wednesday 30 October.
Free drop in events include Bug Hunting, Messy Sensory Play and Land Art with WildPlay, The Nomadic Museum of Natural History, a Big Cat climbing wall, Animal Poetry, Face Painting, Snail Racing plus much more.
Also on offer are a host of low cost ticketed events, including Parent and Baby Yoga, Jungle Sounds, Animal Lego, Falconry Show and workshops in Beastly Stage Combat.
The day will also include two performances from The Courtyard’s resident orchestra, Orchestra of the Swan who will be performing a Carnival of the Animals Family Concert at 1pm and 3pm. Tickets for this interactive concert are just £7.50 and the performance will be illustrated live by artist James Mayhew.
Premiering at this year’s Family Festival is Club Kids’ Jungle Family Rave. In true family festival style the Jungle Rave sensation will be full of bubbles, balloons and big jungle beats galore. The Jungle Family Rave is suitable for all ages but ear defenders are recommended for tiny ones.
Herefordshire Family Festival is a wonderful opportunity to explore all that The Courtyard has to offer and has been described by past attendees as “a great and fun filled day.”
